Curriculum vitae of Constantinos A. Bouroussis

1.      SHORT CV

Constantinos A. Bouroussis was born in Greece in 1979. He received the Dipl. Eng. Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2004 and his PhD degree in 2018.

His main areas of interest include lighting technology, lighting design and measurements, as well as machine vision and imaging sensors. During the PhD research he developed a system for automated lighting measurements in road and tunnels based on an imaging sensor. He was also the key researcher on a funded project with main outcome a smart lighting control and daylight harvesting system based on an imaging sensor.

He has a extensive experience in lighting training, measurements and consultancy. He gave numerous training sessions in lighting related courses. He managed several technical projects related to lighting planning, lighting measurement setups and instrument development. He has participated in several national and European projects as major researcher and key expert.

He is official member of CIE Division 2, representing Greece. He is co-author of the Greek Technical Regulation on Design and Evaluation of Street Lighting Projects prepared by the Technical Chamber of Greece. He is also member of four Technical Committees of the International Commission of Illumination – CIE, in the topics of Tunnel and Road lighting as well as lighting measurements.

He speaks Greek (native) and English (fluently).

·           Research associate and test engineer at Lighting Laboratory of School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.

·           Co-owner of LiGHTiNG 3 company

·           PhD candidate in Lighting Laboratory, National Technical University of Athens in the field of road and tunnel lighting measurements using imaging sensors.

·           Certified trainer of RELUX lighting calculations and simulation software.

3.      Professional career

2001 – 2002:        Apprentice at electrical installation design department of Schneider Electric Hellas S.A.

2004 – now:         Researcher and test engineer at Lighting Laboratory of National Technical University of Athens.

2005 – now:         Freelancer, Electrical and Computer Engineer.

2006 – 2013:        Visiting Professor at the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE), Faculty of Electrical Engineering
